Performs preventive, diagnostic and restorative treatment which is within the normal scope of a general dentist. Assumes the role of the “on-call” dentist, for after-hours emergencies (in a rotational schedule with the other general dentists)
Direct patient care
Directs the training of chair side dental assistants
Complies with the policies and procedures of GHI Family Dental Practice and Group Health Incorporated
Participates in NYSDOH mandated QA/Safety/Infection Control and other committees
Insures that patients’ charts are always legible and complete
Performs other related duties which may be assigned by practice management from time to time
Must be a New York State licensed dentist, currently registered with the State Education Department
Must be a member in good standing of the American Dental Association; Dental Society of the State of New York; and the Third District Dental Society
Must be currently registered with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). General practice residency and a minimum of two years of either military or private practice
Meets budgeted targets for clinical productivity required
Meets documentation standards as measured by QA reviews required
Maintains licensure required
