We are hiring several Dental Assistants (both registered and non-registered) in the San Francisco area. These are long-term contract-to-hire roles with a large organization that promotes from within. Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists the doctor in procedures
- Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
- Prophy teeth
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene
- Chart and treatment plan with doctor
- Sterilizes instruments
- Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
- Take IO's
- Must have experience as a Dental Assistant within the last year.
