Under the general direction of the Physician, performs avariety of patient care activities and accommodative services to assignedpatients of all ages. Supports theobjectives of the Physician office and hospital. Refers significant information or concerns tothe practice manager, clinical coordinator and Physician.
Assist the Provider to provide service to patients ofall ages including evaluation, planning, individual treatment programs andother related duties within the designated scope of the practice.
Responsible for calling in/e-scribe medication topharmacies in accordance with clinic protocol. Triage patient calls andanswering patient questions. Obtains vitals, patient and medication history
Assist with Front Office responsibilities such as phonereception, patient registration, copay and balance collection, Patient Portal
Provides assistant functions to patients (personalcare, ambulation, transports).
Assists in minor procedures, sterile prep and supplies
Documents care given and data gathered, including laband diagnostic imaging - Reports findings to Physician.
Notifies patients of lab and diagnostic test resultsunder the direct supervision of the health care provider.
Assists in the general operation of the physicianoffice.
Maintains confidentiality and protects privacy ofhealthcare information, security of password, and access codes.
Maintains a clean and well organized work station,follows all safety regulations, code of conduct and ethics, Revenue Cycle Guidelines,attends hospital /clinical training and staff meetings.
Assists with referrals, prior authorization & pre-certifications
